WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN GETTING YOUR ROOF INSPECTED

Is it time to get your roof inspected? Here are some tips on what to expect from any roof installer’s inspection process.

Setting up an appointment

We conduct digital inspections and estimates including the use of satellite imagery to ensure that we’re giving you a fair price for good work on a roof you need.

WHAT DOES A ROOF INSPECTION INCLUDE?

The inspection will first happen from the ground. From there you can gain perspective of the roof’s overall shape. Does it have:

• Discoloration
• Ridges and hips are sagging
• Missing or deformed shingles
• Holes or visible underlayment damage
• Nearby trees or other potential hazards

Every single one of these larger details will give you an idea of how “in shape” your home’s roof is. If your home has any of these conditions you may need a new roof.

A note about trees: gathering leaves can grow mold or dry rot, deteriorate your roof shingles, and clog up your gutter system. Make sure to keep a close eye large trees or overhanging branches.

Inside Leaks

Inside of your garage or home your roof may have leaks. Things to look for would be:

• Mold
• Discolored or “Yellowed” paint on ceilings and walls
• Peeling or Cracking paint
• Rotting wood

Roof rooftop check

If necessary, your roofing inspector may want to go onto the roof to see some parts up close. This could be necessary for multiple reasons

• Flashing is obscured
• Nearby tree blocking the view
• Parts of the roof aren’t easily noticeable
